Peter Kellner, born in Slovakia, studied at Conservatoire in Košice (Slovakia) with Michail Adamenko, at Mozarteum Salzburg with Boris Bakow and he has successfully graduated as Bachelor at Kunstuniversität Graz with Antonius Sol.


Peter is a member of ensemble at Vienna State Opera House since the season 2018/2019. He has performed in several roles such as Leporello (“Don Giovanni”), King of Scotland (“Ariodante”), Truffaldin (“Ariadne auf Naxos”), Theseus (“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”), King (“Aida), Panthée (“Les Troyens”), Graf Lamoral (“Arabella”) and Masetto (“Don Giovanni”) there. He was also the member of ensemble in the Opera Graz since the beginning of the season 2015/2016 where he performed as Osmin (“Die Entführung aus dem Serail”), Basilio (“Il Barbiere di Sevilla”), Brother Laurent (“Romeo and Juliet”), Figaro (“Le nozze di Figaro”), Colline (“La bohéme”), Lord Sidney (“Il viaggio a Raims”) and Plumkett (“Martha”).  Peter also sang First Soldier (Salome) at Salzburg Festival, Colline (“La bohéme”), Lieutenant Ratcliffe (“Billy Budd”) in Royal Opera House, Figaro (“ Le nozze di Figaro”) in Volksoper Wien and Glyndebourne, Papageno (“Die Zauberflöte”) in the Teatro lirico Giuseppe Verdi in Trieste as well as in Teatro de la Maestranza in Sevilla and he participated at Klosterneuburg Festival as Le Guverneur (“Le Comte Ory”). Peter can be seen as a guest artist in the in the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava on a regular basis as Leporello and Masetto (“Don Giovanni”) and Osmin (“Entführung aus dem Serail”). Peter gave his debut in the State Theatre Klagenfurt as Sarastro (Zauberflöte) too. Additionally, he has sung with orchestras including Vienna Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Liverpool, Graz Philharmonic, Camerata Salzburg, Mozart Institute Salzburg, Bamberg Symphony, State Philharmonic Košice and Prag Philharmonic. He was a member of Young Singers Project in Salzburg Opera Festival in 2013 and 2014.


One of his successes is the 1st prize at International Singing Competition Feruccio Tagliavini in Deutschlandsberg and the 2nd prize at International Mozart Singing Competition in Salzburg. Peter was awarded with the Fellowship of Wigmore Hall/Independent Opera at Wigmore Hall Song Competition.
